We had swept all our conference meets and we had swept our District Meet. Today, was like we were here to show our school and our fans, just how hard we had trained and just how determined we were to be the best. I had yet to be challenged in the 100 Meter Dash, and the 200 Meter Dash. Our 4X100 Meter Relay Team was the best in Texas this year. To me, this wasn’t good enough - I wanted the National High. Then all the logs were so fresh. It seems that the logs had some sort of a treatment that they seemed to have had a very fresh coat of varnish just for us. It was really a sight to see. And it was a round house. On first impression it seemed that there were no corners on that house. We parked just in front of the main entrance. Jim said the only other car coming here today is Mark’s car. (the other twin). We went inside and the foyer floored us. What a beautiful place. And immediately you see “the tree”. Sure enough the tree was majestic and the house was, exactly as described, around the tree. The “gathering room was this huge expansion area that had tables and couches and love seats and chairs and recliners and . . . . All the furniture of leather. And all with some interior designer taste and the uncle’s money. What a gorgeous site. The bar which was part of the gathering place in wood so exquisite that left us gasping for air. This gathering room was all with.
